I got a cream from the chemist today, so I am treating the areas. Also I’ve had the patch on my scalp for a couple of days and so far no noticable signs of my hair falling out.

The vet said it wasn’t ringworm, but it is round patches, they both have them. The vet has given antibiotics and prednisone. One is on an allergy diet. I bathe them with a shampoo that contains triclosan, sulfur, and salicylic acid. It’s just getting worse. Should I add tea tree to the shampoo? Can I try tinactin?
I haven’t caught it, neither has the cat. Dr. also said it wasn’t mange, but he hasn’t said what it is either.
Jess, yes, I am looking for home remedies, since my multiple visits to the vet haven’t stopped the problem. Where do you think I got the antibiotics and prednisone? But I don’t recall him actually testing, just eyeballing and treating.
I am asking about Tinactin because I think it looks like ringworm, even though the vet said it wasn’t, and because the other treatments were not stopping the spread.

I may, or may not have ringworm on my hand. I have both outside and inside cats. I suspect, if I do have ringworm, that I got it from one of my outside cats. My question is….how can I tell if I have passed this on to my inside cats. They all look normal. I don’t see any patches of hair falling out or anything. BTW I have had this spot on my hand for about 3 weeks. It is scaly and round. I just thought it was really dry skin.
