I went to the doctor today for this itchy patch of skin that hasn’t gone away and she told me that it looks like ringworm, which after reading the symptoms, I agree. My question is about the medications I can use. She told me to use an anti-fungal cream for a few weeks, but I’m wondering if I can also use some hydrocortisone cream to help with the itching.

Anti-fungal cream containing Miconazole to be applied 2-3 times a day for 3 weeks. Steroids like hydrocortisone are contraindicated in fungal infection.
You should try Lotrimin Ultra – my husband and I got them from messing with horses and it took it away w/in 2-2 days. Apply 2 times a day. Make sure you wash your hands after applying so you won’t spread it.
