YES, it should be covered to prevent spreading it to other places on your body and other people, since it is very contagious. It can easily be picked up on walls or cloth if you bump up against something.

Make sure that the area is dry before you cover it since fungus thrives in moisture.

Keep it dry after showers and use the cream. It can take 1-3 weeks for the infection to completely go away.

Yes ringworm can spread all over your body and infect clothing and give the infection back to you sometimes fungal creams dont work it can be very hard to get rid of ringworm. my cure take selenium, zinc, folic acid three times a day for a week. You can go to earth clinic and look all the with cures for it. some people have had it for years unable to get rid of it. my cure worked for me i had it for a real long time creams didnt work for me.

it doesn't need covered. it may be spread by skin to skin contact, but it is hard to do. Unless you plan on rubbing the rash on someone or scratching it and letting it "ooze" on someone you will not have a problem. If someone touches it or scratches it, all they need to do is wash their hands or whatever touched it. whoever has it should be fine and probably will not transfer it to anyone else. make sure you keep the medication on it to kill it fast.

leave it open to air. If you cover it you are just creating a better environment for the fungus to continue growing, dark and warm. don't cover it and it heals faster

I would cover it loosely just to keep from touching it and spreading it inadvertently. Even if its only a long sleeve shirt or loose fitting pants.
