Find The Solution For Ring Worm Here
ringworm
dani238 asked:

So, Me and my boyfriend adopted two cats from the SPCA. Come to find out we adopted cats with ring worm, And both cats have had open access to all parts of the home.

We read about spores, and know how the are transported from the air. If we keep bleaching, and cleaning. Will this ensure to keep the ring worm away……………or is this a battle that will take a few years?

Just keep doing what you’re doing… bleaching, washing and cleaning You can’t clean or bleach too much, and be sure to treat the cats exactly as the vet has advised. It can be a pain in the neck to clear up but it won’t take anywhere near a few years.

No it definitely won’t take a few years. If you are thorough and consistent, even the most stubborn ringworm infection should be gone within a couple months. I don’t know how you’re treating the cats but if they are not responding to topical treatment after a few weeks, be sure to ask your vet about oral medication. It was the only thing that helped one of my cats get over his infection.

my cat, Delilah, had ringworm and the whole house got it, lol, we went to the store and bought some athlete’s foot creme for us and took Delilah to the vet to get some special shampoo that was like $10 and bathed her every week or so, we also kept her in a box until she was cured

Hope this helps! =)

Keep up with the cleaning, and make sure to keep your cats on whatever medications and treatments your vet has given you for them. The medications and treatments will not only get rid of the ringworm on the cats, but make it so that the spores do not spread as readily as they do when untreated. It won’t take anywhere near a few years. Depending on how bad the infections were, be prepared for a month or two of various ringworm sightings on you and your boyfriend, but once the cats are healthy again, you will be too.
