Will my boyfriend now get it too?
My boyfriend said that the kid had it under his shirt so there was no skin to skin contact and he washed his coat and everything as soon as he got home and used defense in the shower..
does that mean he wont get it now?

Your boyfriend will probally get ring worm too.
Just don’t touch him for a while, he can get medicine.
Give it two weeks to see if he has it- if not than hes fine.
on exposed skin in contact with the other wrestler, prob about 20%
Ringworm is actually a fungal infection (NOT a worm) in the same general family as athlete’s foot and jock itch. That being said, any skin-to-skin contact with affected spots can spread the infection.
It’s possible your boyfriend will have it now too, you’ll just have to watch and see if you notice any of the telltale scaly rings. The good news is it’s easily treatable with over-the-counter anti-fungal creams like Lotrimin.
Ringworm is pretty contagious, if that wrestling partner has a confirmed case of ringworm he should probably NOT be in a full contact sport until it’s cleared up.
tell him to be sure not use a towel or anything that guy has used. it’s pretty easy to get my best friend got it from using a towel at the gym. it was pretty nasty to get rid of too. especially if there is excessive sweating. just tell your boyfriend to be really careful around that guy
