Ringworm Treatment FAQ :
I was working before I knew what I had and it started off small but got bigger over time. I just recently found out it was ringworm. I’m currently in my 3rd day of treating it but I was thinking if I should go to work now that I know what I have. It’s located on the bottom right part of my chin. Any advice would be great.

NO GO TO THE DOCTOR
don’t go because it is contagious and if any of the skin flakes off and gets into the food, it could infect the person eating it.
No….Please don’t go to work…Go to the Doctor
I would contact the physician to find out how long it will be contagious for after you began treating it. If nothing else, keep in mind that customers might get a bad impression if it’s still very visible – for example, if you work the front register and a customer comes up to order food, they may get turned off if they see a large ringworm spot on your face. No offense intended
But it’s kind of like having a cold while working at a restaurant. Good luck!
It may take you a few minutes to find in here what applies to you, but in a nutshell, it says that ringworm is among the medical conditions that are NOT spread through food. Treat the condition as recommended by a doctor, but it shouldn’t prevent you from being able to work, as long as you take proper actions, as you would be expected to anyway. If you touch the affected area, wash your hands thoroughly before returning to work. That’s all, you should be fine.
no no no do NOT go to work it is contagious and looks gross.
