My 1yr. old has an almost perfect circle on his cheek and it’s red. It just appeared today and has not gone away. I also have a dog in the house that was diagnosed with ringworm last week and is now on medication. I’m scared that my little guy has caught the ringworm from my dog…but I can’t tell for sure if that’s what it is.

It is extremely dry in our house so the spot could also be just a dry patch of skin. How long does it take to notice if it’s just a typical dry patch or if it’s something more?

I think it’s ringworm. My preschooler had it a few years ago. Take him to a doctor as soon as possible for a prescription. My son still has a a slight scar from the ringworm.
Go to your local pharmacy and get an anti-fungal medication, which is sold over the counter. Ask the pharmacist for help if you are not sure which to purchase. Ring worm clears up quickly when treated. Tinactin is one such cream that you can try but do ask to speak with your pharmacist first.
