It use to seem like everytime I would visit my Mom, I would get a RingWorm. Come to find out it was her Cat she kept in the house, and even though I tried to avoid touching the cat, The doctor told me they can actually deposit the lesion on furniture ect. With me it normally appeared in 24 hours. There is a green Salve you can buy at the drug Store that will kill the lesion, Just ask your pharmacist for it.
