my dog has ringworm. we’re taking her to the vet tomorrow. i have two small children, and i babysit- everything i read says to keep them away from ‘potentially contaminated areas’- aka my entire backyard! what am i supposed to do?! is it common for humans to get ringworm? and do nasty white worms come out in human poop, like they do in dog ****? sorry for being gross, but i gotta know.
oops, i meant ROUNDworm.

If your dogs have worms chances are the kids have already been exposed a while ago. Check with your doctor.
are you talking about ringworm or roundworm?
Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin.. not a worm at all. Its very contagious.
Roundworm is an intestinal worm.. it is contagious if you dont practice proper hygene. Clean up after your dog ASAP to avoid ground contaimination.. use gloves, shovel or baggies to clean up after the dog, and wash your hands well. I would advise on making a separate area of the yard.. a play area for the kids, and potty area for the dog.
Wash your hands well after handling the dog. Wash hands after using the bathroom.. and also wash well when handling food, and before meals.
Encourage the kids to use proper hygene as well.
Id imagine if a human had a bad enough infestation of worms, that they would come out in ****. Checking for worms in **** tho isnt a way to diagnose.. stool sample has to be checked for microscopic evidence of worms.
Hello, ringworm is not a worm at all, it’s a fungal infection. Yes, people can get it as it’s highly contagious. Get him to a vet and don’t let the little ones handle him until it’s cleared up. It’s really not a big deal but you have to treat it for sure.
Ringworm is a fungal infection, not an intestinal parasite. If you’re referring to intestinal parasites, yes it is possible for humans to get it but you have to practically eat the **** of the infected dog to get it. Make sure everybody washes their hands regularly and follow the veterinarian’s advice.
If you’re talking about the fungal skin infection, actual “ringworm”, then the answer is no. Humans are pretty resistant to ringworm, but catching it DOES happen on occasion. I got ringworm on my arm and chin after restraining an infected dog at work. It was very itchy but after a couple of days of applying an antifungal cream, I was fine.
Wait if your dog has worms in his/her **** then its not ringworm. It is round worm. Ring worm is a fungus and contagious. I rescue and foster dogs and i got ringworm from one of my foster dogs – i got a little round rash like thing on my skin. It itches constantly and was treated with fugal medication. As well as my foster dog. But round worm is an intestinal worm. Humans cannot get it. But either way your dog should be treated by a Vet to cure it.
