Yes, most certainly you can. Ringworm is a skin infection caused by mold-like fungi known as dermatophytes. As you probably already know, it's highly contagious and can be transmitted through direct skin contact with an infected person or animal or contaminated objects and surfaces.

Fortunately, ringworm responds well to self-care using over-the-counter topical creams or lotions that may be purchased without prescription. Some of the most common medications are Tinactin, Monistat, Lotrimin, and Lamisil. Wash the affected area thoroughly and allow to dry. Apply a thin layer of the cream twice a day. The ringworm should be gone completely within 2-4 weeks of treatment.

Unless, you get infected again. It's a good thing that you recognized your pet cat as the probable source of infection. Griseofulvin has been commonly used to treat ringworm in pets, but I think it's best to bring your cat to the vet.

Ringworm is not a worm It is a rash, fungal and
circular in its appearance.
I think it's called "tinea".
Heartworm, roundworm, tapeworm .... these are
a few intestinal parasites that can be carried by animals.
Your vet can check to see if your cat is afflicted.
And it is possible for animals to get certain forms
of skin ringworm. These fungal infections are often
treated with oral keflex and anti-fungal topical creams.

You have to have a percription for you and you can ask a pet store if there is anything that you can buy to get rid of the cats that is the carrier of the worm.
