It does sit on linen (bedding/bathroom/pillows) if it's been a bad case and still creeping up get the carpets cleaned, and throw away pillows or wash them - the warmer (Hot) water the better - (I had ring worm from a cat - and it was due to it laying on a pillow) If the dogs/kittens lay on the carpet and you lay on the carpet then yes.
