This dog is being moved from a shelter and has ringworm (and being treated) can just by having him in my car put my dogs and myself at risk of getting ringworm?

Yes there is a chance if there is skin to skin contact . If you can keep him apart from the other dogs and wash the seat with hot soapy water after transportation you should be ok.
yes you would be putting yourself at risk ringworms are really contagious try getting the shelter to move it or take him in a truck or something. Good luck
YES! Ringworm is very contagious! After you transfer the dog, vacuum your car and wipe down any hard surfaces. Use clorox wipes. Also make sure you wash your hands and your clothes asap! You can get ringworm too! It is no fun!!
Yes, ringworm is contagious. I have gotten it from my dogs. Be very careful around the dog.
